Bio
Katie currently serves as the Director of Career Development & Student Employment. With over a decade of higher education experience including admissions counseling, college recruiting, and classroom instruction, Katie is thrilled to focus on students' professional development and career readiness. In her current role, she oversees all internship reporting for the university and the Sophomore Year Internship Program. Katie holds two bachelor degrees: a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Alabama. Additionally, she earned her Master of Arts Administration degree from the University of New Orleans. After completing her master's degree, Katie worked at the nationally-ranked National World War II Museum in New Orleans, where she contributed to the capital expansion of the museum.
Katie is a Certified Career Services Provider from the National Career Development Association and holds certifications in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Inside Track Success Coaching. She currently serves as Chair for the SoACE Career Advising & Counseling Knowledge Group
