Bio

Along with her work at the Student Success Center, Nancy Rowe also teaches critical reading and writing, writing about literature, and creative writing. She received an MFA with distinction from the University of New Orleans and earned a BS from Colorado State University. She was recently a finalist in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom writing competition for short stories. Her writing and literary curiosities lean toward magical realism, young adult fiction and Southern literature. Some of her favorite authors are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Flannery O’Connor, Toni Morrison, Eudora Welty, Roald Dahl, and Ransom Riggs. Additionally, Nancy has an interesting collection of perfectly round rocks that she has plucked from various U.S. states and countries.
