Bio

Rochelle Cooper is a Louisiana transplant originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2005 she earned her bachelor’s degree from Cal State University Hayward (now East Bay) in Human Development with an emphasis on Adolescent Behavior. In 2010, she completed two teaching credentials: the K-8 multiple-subject and the single-subject English, both received at Dominican University of California. As of 2023, she has completed her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction at the University of New Orleans.

Rochelle has worked with students from preschool-aged through college-aged. She loves to teach writing and get people excited about reading and thinking. She is passionate about interpersonal connectedness, identity, working in your strengths, and purpose. In her spare time, Rochelle dances with a local social aid and pleasure club called the Disco Amigos.
