Our Services
The TRIO Student Support Services program provides holistic support and motivation to support students through graduation. The goals of TRIO SSS are to increase retention, achieve good academic standing each semester, and successfully graduate participants to earn their post-secondary degrees. Participants will receive one-on-one support and small-group assistance designed to meet their specific needs to graduate from Loyola.
What We Offer
With the assistance of their assigned SSS Advisor, TRIO participants will create an individual service plan (ISP) incorporating academic, personal, and career goals to stay on track and achieve success! We assist participants with building course schedules and understanding academic requirements to complete their degree programs in a timely manner.
Financing your education requires careful planning and preparation. We offer online modules and in person workshops to help you understand the financial aid process, apply for scholarships, and build important financial literacy skills. Workshop topics include: budgeting, savings, credit 101, and more! As needed, students will be referred to other campus offices, such as Financial Aid and Student Financial Services.
We offer monthly Success Skills Workshops on a variety of topics such as time management, study skills, effective communication, goal setting, career planning, and more!
We offer virtual tutoring options in over 250+ subjects to enhance student success. Loyola also offers in person tutoring through the Office of Writing and Learning Services (OWLS).
You will be paired with a TRIO Peer Mentor during your first year at Loyola! Peer Mentors are current Loyola/TRIO students who provide you with 1:1 support as you navigate college life. Some benefits of having a peer mentor include:

- Gain a sense of belonging and feeling more connected to school and peers
